A national logistics operator replaced ageing leased lines with a Starlink-primary SD-WAN across 48 depots — cutting latency, improving driver app performance and adding failover to sites that had none.

Challenge

Northline's depot connectivity was a patchwork of DSL and 4G links, with average latency north of 180ms and daily outages at remote yards. Their WMS and driver mobile apps timed out constantly, and the network had no meaningful redundancy.

Solution

AURA Technologies designed a dual-transport SD-WAN using Starlink Business as primary and existing 4G as failover, with policy-based routing for real-time traffic. We deployed to 48 sites in eight weeks, including remote installs, configuration and knowledge transfer to the internal ops team.

Outcome

Average site latency dropped from 180ms to under 70ms. Driver app timeouts fell 92%. Two major storms in the first quarter caused zero WMS downtime thanks to LEO diversity.

AURA Technologies replaced our legacy WAN with a Starlink + SD-WAN mix that cut latency by 60% across our remote sites.
